We believe that every young person has the ability to create! Our extra-curricular design club is a creative and engaging space where children can explore the exciting world of fashion and textiles through hands-on termly projects and immersive holiday clubs! Pupils will build confidence in their design skills experimenting with drawing, colouring, mood boards, and developing their own ideas while also learning practical making techniques such as hand sewing, embroidery, beading, fabric painting, appliqué, patchwork, crochet, weaving, and more. It’s a fantastic opportunity for children to express their creativity, learn new skills, and bring their unique designs to life!
Taught by Emily
Meet Emily – a creative footwear and fashion designer who loves bringing ideas to life!
Alongside her work in the industry, she’s a lecturer at the London College of Fashion and teaches at BRIT Kids, where she encourages young people to get hands-on, think creatively, and have fun with design. Emily brings a playful, supportive approach to every session, helping children build confidence, learn exciting new skills, and turn their imaginative ideas into something they can be really proud of.
Summer Holiday Immersive Textiles Club
We are delighted to announce that we will be running day long Fashion and Textiles clubs this Summer, on three consecutive Thursdays: 30/7/2026, 6/8/2026, 13/8/2026.
Location Horsmonden Villiage Hall on backlane- Each day will run from 9 - 3pm
